IR-8 Non-Basmati Rice

IR-8 is a non-basmati rice developed to address the problems of the yield of traditional rice varieties. It is a semi-dwarf rice that is known for its dramatically high-yielding potential. It has good pest and disease resistance, hence a lower amount of pesticide nd herbicides are used, which makes the grains fit for consumption.

We source the rice paddy from trusted and certified vendors and prefer organic farming techniques. Though it is a short variety, it expands considerably and remains separable. It is suitable for fried rice and daily consumption. Its neutral flavour allows for the flavours from curries and pulses to get absorbed with the rice base in staple meals.
